About the Role

We are seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician with an Accuracy Checking Qualification approved by the North West Framework to join our busy team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Medicines Management service to our wards, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care in the management of their medication.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' own drugs (PODs), identify and order medications using electronic systems, record drug histories, and provide patient counselling.
  • Prepare medication for discharge and participate in medicines administration after regular training in ward duties.
  • Work accurately and quickly under pressure, prioritizing your workload and demonstrating confidence, reliability, and mature interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals, using your own initiative and professional, enthusiastic attitude to provide a quality service.
