About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Countess of Chester Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medications for our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess patients' medication needs and identify potential issues with their medication regimens.
- Order and manage medications using electronic systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medication histories.
- Provide patient counseling and education on medication use and management.
- Prepare medications for discharge and ensure timely delivery to patients.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with an Accuracy Checking Qualification approved by the North West Framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure, with a strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
