Pharmacy Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' own drugs (PODs), identifying and ordering medications using electronic systems
- Record drug histories, patient counselling, and preparation of medication for discharge
- Work accurately and quickly under pressure, prioritizing workload and communicating effectively with pharmacy staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in medicines administration after completion of regular training in ward duties
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services with appropriate underpinning knowledge (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent)
- Registered with the GPhC
- CPD portfolio in line with GPhC requirements
