About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to provide comprehensive outpatient reception services to the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient services, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a full outpatient reception service to patients attending the hospital, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data on the hospital information system (EPR+) and timely production of statistics and information relating to patient appointments.
  • Request and collect case notes as necessary for short notice clinic appointments.
  • Administer changes relating to clinics, ensuring current targets are still achieved and monitor clinic capacity using the hospital computer system.
  • Send appointment details and relevant correspondence to patients.
  • Deal with enquiries from patients, wards, GPs, and other departments.
About Us

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Our services are provided from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital, Ellesmere Port Hospital, and Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Previous clerical experience.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • ECDL.
  • Basic Level CTC (IHRIM).
  • Previous NHS clerical experience.
