Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Teaching Fellow to join our academic team at Imperial College London. As a Senior Teaching Fellow in Medical Sciences, you will play a key role in designing and delivering innovative education experiences for graduate-entry medical students.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering teaching materials, establishing assessment and monitoring processes, and delivering teaching and assessment of the curriculum. You will work closely with our academic team to ensure that our students receive a world-class education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver teaching materials and resources for Medical Sciences 1 and 2 modules
  • Establish and implement assessment and monitoring processes to ensure student learning outcomes
  • Deliver teaching and assessment of the curriculum to graduate-entry medical students
  • Contribute to curriculum development and review to ensure alignment with academic standards
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching and learning environment

Requirements:

  • Higher degree (MSc or PhD) in physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, medical biosciences, or similar relevant to the teaching of Medical Sciences to medical students
  • Experience of effective teaching of physiology, pathophysiology, pathology and/or medical biosciences through a range of teaching styles and formats
  • Experience of planning, design and development of curricula, learning materials and/or assessments that promote deep learning in students with a variety of learning styles
  • Understanding of relevant educational theory and good practice relating to student learning, teaching, assessment and course design in a relevant discipline in Higher Education
