Senior Research Fellow

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator Scientist to join our team at the Medical Research Council. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics and machine learning, with a proven track record of research in these areas.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on developing models for biological age prediction from multiple image-derived phenotypes
- Perform semi-independent research and support other members of the group
- Lead on lab data management duties and liaise with collaborators on project management
- Attend scientific conferences and publish results in leading journals
- PhD in Data Science/Statistics or a closely related discipline
- Significant postdoctoral research experience in bioinformatics
- Excellent skills in R and Python, with proven ability in programming and handling large datasets
- Previous experience of executing Jupyter Notebooks in local or cloud environments
- Previous experience in biomedical data science, including clustering and prediction algorithms
