About the Role
The UCL Eastman Dental Institute is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team in the field of bioinformatics. As a Research Fellow, you will play a key role in conducting advanced bioinformatics analyses to interpret high-throughput sequencing data, focusing on single-cell and bulk RNA and DNA datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting advanced bioinformatics analyses to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets in oncology, critical to tumour maintenance, evolution, and metastases.
- Developing and applying innovative computational methods and algorithms to support cancer research projects.
- Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, including molecular biologists, oncologists, and computational scientists, to design and implement integrative data analysis pipelines.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of bioinformatics tools and databases to support the research community.
- Presenting findings at national and international conferences and publishing results in high-impact scientific journals.
- Supervising and mentoring junior researchers and students in bioinformatics methodologies and best practices.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Research Fellow with a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology. You will have a proven track record of conducting advanced bioinformatics analyses and developing innovative computational methods and algorithms.
