About the Role

The successful candidate will have a PhD and a track record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. You will have knowledge and experience of research in the field of mental health and knowledge and experience of qualitative methods in the development and evaluation of healthcare systems or interventions. You should have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and oral and written communication skills as well as evidence of high-quality teaching and presentation skills.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team at UCL Eastman Dental Institute. As a Senior Research Fellow in Qualitative Methods, you will be responsible for undertaking world-class research using qualitative methods, developing and supporting the qualitative methods programme on the DClinPsy course, and contributing to the teaching, assessment, and research supervision of the Department's postgraduate programmes in qualitative methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake world-class research using qualitative methods
  • Develop and support the qualitative methods programme on the DClinPsy course
  • Contribute to the teaching, assessment, and research supervision of the Department's postgraduate programmes in qualitative methods
  • Obtain external funding to support the postholder's research programme, postdoctoral research staff, and PhD students
  • Develop and facilitate collaborative research, including across UCL and with its wide network of partners
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students
  • Contribute to other undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in areas agreed with the Head of Department
