Job Title: Senior Research Fellow - Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of pre-award support for research proposals, working closely with academics to prepare funding applications, and providing advice and guidance to maximize proposal success rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-award support for research proposals, including preparing funding applications and providing costing for proposed projects.
- Work with academics to prepare funding applications, ensuring compliance with funder's terms and conditions and UCL policies and financial regulations.
- Oversee research proposal processes, setting and communicating timescales, and providing advice and guidance to maximize proposal success rates.
- Line manage one or more grade 6 Research Administrator(s), including setting objectives, monitoring performance, conducting appraisals, offering guidance, and assisting with developing knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering pre-award support for research proposals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with academics and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
