Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Professional to join our Perinatal Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of perinatal psychology within East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Professional Management: To undertake the leadership and professional management of Psychologists and Psychotherapists and associated staff within East London Mother and Baby Unit, City & Hackney and Tower Hamlets Community Perinatal Services and East London Maternal Mental Health Service.
  • Strategic Objectives: To undertake responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical and service strategic objectives under the direction of the Trust Chief Psychologist. This will require advising senior managers of the interpretation of health service policy and strategy as it pertains to the client group.
  • Clinical Governance: To be responsible for the good clinical governance, quality and appropriateness of the work of psychologists and psychotherapists in the Perinatal Services.
  • Specialist Resource: To act as a specialist perinatal psychology resource to the wider Trust and across the National professional community.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who possesses excellent leadership and management skills, with a strong background in perinatal psychology and psychotherapy. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the Trust's values and mission, and will be able to work effectively with senior managers and other stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
