Key Responsibilities
The Lead Consultant in Psychotherapy position is a newly established role focused on enhancing the existing psychotherapy services across CNWL CAMHS. We seek a well-rounded and experienced practitioner who is committed to leading the development of therapeutic pathways within a specialized service for children, adolescents, and their families across multiple London boroughs, catering to a diverse clientele.
The selected candidate will oversee and collaborate with Therapy Leads in various areas, ensuring high standards of clinical governance, quality, and appropriateness of the psychotherapy services provided. This includes supervision and training of psychotherapists within CAMHS, contributing expert insights on complex cases, and fostering the professional growth of colleagues.
Additionally, there will be opportunities to spearhead trust-wide initiatives and engage in various specialties, driving service evaluations, time-limited projects, and audits as directed by the Head of Therapies.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must be a registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with the ACP, possessing:
- Master's level preclinical training from an accredited Association of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists training institution.
- Postgraduate training in clinical Child and Adolescent psychotherapy at an accredited institution.
- Completion of additional post-qualification specialist training.
- Experience in supervising other Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.
Essential Experience
Candidates should have substantial experience in:
- Working as a qualified clinical Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist.
- Managing qualified clinical Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.
- Multi-professional service development.
- Conducting specialist psychotherapeutic assessments and treatments for children and adolescents.
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- Teaching, training, and providing clinical supervision.
