Role Overview

Milestones Education is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for a passionate professional who is committed to the well-being and mental health of young people and aligns with our mission to provide holistic education and development.

The consultant will work closely with students requiring support, collaborate with educational managers, and contribute to the overall well-being strategy for students and families. Additionally, the consultant will help create content, design events and workshops, and engage in proactive, innovative approaches to student development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide child and adolescent psychotherapy services for students who need support, addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, and other mental health concerns that may affect learning and personal development.
  • Collaborate with educational managers to review students who may require additional mental health support, offering strategies and interventions to help these students overcome emotional challenges that impact their educational progress.
  • Contribute to the development of Milestones Education's overarching well-being strategy, ensuring that mental health and emotional well-being are fully integrated into our programs and services.
  • Create well-being resources for students, parents, and the wider Milestones Education community, including educational materials, blogs, videos, or interactive content that promotes emotional resilience and mental health awareness.
  • Design and lead events and workshops focused on well-being, mental health, and emotional development for students and their families, providing proactive mental health support and promoting emotional growth.

Requirements

  • Qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with relevant professional certifications and memberships.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting, preferably with a focus on academic and personal development.
  • Strong understanding of mental health challenges affecting young people, particularly in high-pressure educational environments.
  • Passionate about well-being, mental health, and personal growth, with a commitment to Milestones Education's mission of holistic education and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create content that resonates with students, families, and educators.
