About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at West London NHS Trust.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working with children and adolescents in a mental health or equivalent setting, with a strong understanding of child development in relation to mental health difficulties.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing mental health support and treatment for children and young people, carrying out comprehensive assessments, and offering specialist intervention packages using various therapeutic approaches.
You will also develop relationships with key partner agencies and community organisations, working locally with children and young people, schools, GPs, social workers, and community groups.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and a commitment to personal development.
We offer a competitive salary of £45,819 - £62,089 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for ongoing staff development and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mental health support and treatment for children and young people
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and offer specialist intervention packages
- Develop relationships with key partner agencies and community organisations
- Work collaboratively across the wider CCAMS team
Requirements
- Professional knowledge acquired through a degree-level qualification in one of the following: nursing, clinical or counselling psychology, systemic family psychotherapy, child & adolescent psychotherapy, or social work
- Current professional registration as applicable
- Significant experience of working with children and adolescents in a mental health or equivalent setting
- Experience of multi-agency work
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
