About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Officer to join our team at Hull City Council. As a Care Officer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children living in our Children's Homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to children with complex needs and disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Assess and respond to the needs of children, making recommendations for their care and development
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults or children in a safeguarding or care setting
  • Strong motivation to work with children and young people, with the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships
  • Ability to work within relevant frameworks and guidelines
