About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Care Officer to join our Children's Homes team at Hull City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the service and provide guidance and support to staff.
  • Develop and implement care plans and programmes that meet the individual needs of children in our care.
  • Provide advice, support, and guidance on behaviour and general care of children, as well as supporting staff in their roles.
  • Supervise and support staff in the day-to-day running of the Home, including shift work and sleepovers.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide positive direction and motivation to staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
