Position: R_272376 Director of Global Operations, Specialties

As the Director of Global Operations, you will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness across the Specialties division. Your role will encompass the formulation and execution of operational strategies that promote consistency and best practices throughout the organization. Your adeptness in organizational dynamics will enable you to navigate a complex matrix environment and collaborate with key stakeholders across various business functions.

  • Build trust and foster relationships globally to ensure the successful delivery of new projects, initiatives, and processes.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the operations within Specialties, coordinating with the Global Operations Team to implement and achieve operational plans and objectives.
  • Drive continuous process improvement, executing changes to support strategic goals, promote best practices, and enhance quality and service delivery.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor consistent operational KPIs for Specialties and communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Develop timely and robust management information to identify issues for management attention.
  • Ensure the organization has the appropriate operational framework to support growth.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including Client Support Services, Broker Support Services, Finance, Global Operations, and Broking. Collaborate closely with the Head of Analytical Strategy and other key stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure best-in-class governance and controls in conjunction with wider stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain an internal Quality Assurance process, ensuring common themes are communicated and appropriate resolutions are enacted.
  • Continue to enhance the operational excellence framework, ensuring all processes and tools align with Professional Standards.
  • Comply with governance requirements for Global Operations and Specialties.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in insurance, financial institutions, or highly regulated environments.
  • Proven track record in leading or significantly influencing the development of new operating models.
  • Experience in driving process transformation and improvement at scale.
  • Ability to cultivate and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with effective communication and influencing capabilities. Innovative in thought and practical in execution.
  • Experience in large, complex global organizations.
  • A commitment to success in a demanding and innovative environment.
