About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Actuary to join our Global Specialty team at AIG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing actuarial support to our business, focusing on Credit Lines and Energy & Construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actuarial Support: Provide expert actuarial support to our business, including pricing analyses and granular performance monitoring.
  • Pricing Tool Development: Be actively involved in the development, analysis, and enhancement of technical pricing tools, adhering to best practice guidelines.
  • Performance Analysis: Drive the development and analysis of performance reports at a granular level, enabling underwriters to optimize performance.
  • Portfolio Management: Lead quarterly discussions with the business on portfolio management and insights.
  • Transformation Projects: Lead large transformation projects, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Rate Monitoring: Monitor rates at renewal and new business, ensuring technical pricing models are in place and reviewed regularly.
  • Data Management: Ensure data used for pricing and monitoring is complete, accurate, adequate, and timely.
  • Profitability Studies: Support profitability studies and business planning.
  • Training and Mentoring: Responsible for training and mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with key regulatory and risk management procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Mathematics or related discipline.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience: Experience as a Pricing Actuary within General Insurance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Strong R and VBA skills; Python desirable.
