Business Applications Support Specialist

Location: Northampton

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + benefits based on experience + 10% bonus

Due to expansion, LTS Resourcing is seeking to hire a Business Applications Support Specialist to enhance their internal IT department.

In this role, you will be responsible for the support, administration, and configuration of essential business applications (ERP, Document Management, CRM, Customer Portal, etc.).


The primary focus of this position is to deliver 1st and 2nd line support along with change management capabilities for critical operational business applications. Additionally, you may assist with training, deployment, testing, and project administration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative services for approved requests related to key business applications
  • Offer configuration services for approved requests concerning key business applications
  • Deliver general support and issue resolution for key business applications
  • Conduct user training on key business applications
  • Maintain records of all activities in the designated issue tracking software
  • Summarize and report on the status of tracked issues
  • Assist in the deployment and testing of new projects and the continuous enhancement of existing applications
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager or Head of IT
Essential Experience:

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated technology enthusiast who is organized, adaptable, and committed to supporting the business.

Key Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in CRM support (MS Dynamics)
  • Familiarity with DMS support (MS SharePoint)
  • Background in end-user training
  • Proficiency in Excel support
  • Skills in SQL query writing
  • Experience in managing MS SQL Server
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Important Qualifications:

  • Ability to create training documentation
  • Experience with IT migrations and integrations
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of complex software deployment projects
  • Capability to capture bugs and enhancement requests
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence or similar tools
  • Experience in a service desk environment
