Company Overview: Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Support Specialist to become a vital member of our dynamic team.


Position Summary: The Family Support Specialist will be responsible for managing a caseload while also participating in safeguarding duties on a rotational basis. Experience in safeguarding is a crucial requirement for this role.


Team Composition: Our team is comprised of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Assessment Officers, and Home Care Assessors, all working collaboratively to provide comprehensive support.


Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule.


Compensation: The role offers a competitive salary of £42,834 per annum, along with membership in the local government pension scheme.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an officer of the Local Authority, executing statutory functions to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.
  • Collaborate with clients, professionals, and agencies to promote social change and maximize independence.
  • Provide relevant information and guidance regarding third sector and universal services that facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Utilize professional curiosity and apply social work theories to formulate and test hypotheses, leading to informed professional judgments.


Additional Information:

As a Family Support Specialist, you will conduct family visits approximately five times a month. Candidates must possess valid SWE registration and an enhanced DBS issued within the last year.

Furthermore, applicants should have at least two references available, including one from their most recent employer. A comprehensive employment history is required, demonstrating experience in a cared-for children's team or a safeguarding children's team, with any gaps in employment verified.


Qualifications:

  • Social Work England registration.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
