Job Title: Advanced Practitioner/Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner/Paramedic to join our team at the Scottish Ambulance Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-level, independent decision-making, including assessment, diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with complex multidimensional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level, independent decision-making, including assessment, diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with complex multidimensional needs.
  • Work within a rotational model, providing virtual patient consultation, professional support for other clinicians, and providing response on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in primary care and/or Out of Hours services to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Paramedic.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice (including V300 prescribing) at SCQF level 11.
  • Significant and demonstrable level of clinical practice within primary/urgent/emergency care, including 1 year at an Advanced Practice level.
