POSITION SUMMARY

Become a vital member of our team at Leeds International Study Centre, where you will enhance the delivery of exceptional educational programs in partnership with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University. As an Academic Program Lead, you will be instrumental in crafting innovative teaching methodologies and ensuring a superior learning experience for students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee academic coordination as the Program Lead for assigned module(s)
  • Facilitate regular discussions with teaching and support personnel for efficient program oversight
  • Supervise a team of academic tutors
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of modules
  • Support Academic English initiatives
  • Prepare assessments, examinations, and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist in planning activities and manage the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
  • Collaborate on student induction and registration processes
  • Engage in scholarly pursuits to keep modules relevant
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and track student attendance
  • Generate reports for sponsors and academic stakeholders regarding student progress
  • Conduct teaching observations and develop staff training plans
  • Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of students and colleagues
  • Perform additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant Teaching qualification (DELTA, TEFL, MA Linguistics)
  • Experience in teaching within UK higher or further education
