POSITION SUMMARY

Become a vital member of our team at Leeds International Study Centre, where you will engage in the delivery of exceptional educational programs in partnership with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University. As an Academic Program Lead, your contributions will be essential in crafting innovative teaching methodologies and ensuring a superior learning experience for students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee academic coordination as the Program Lead for assigned module(s)
  • Facilitate regular discussions with teaching and support personnel for efficient program oversight
  • Supervise a team of academic tutors
  • Contribute to the design, execution, and enhancement of modules
  • Support Academic English initiatives
  • Prepare assessments, examinations, and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist in planning activities and manage the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
  • Collaborate on student induction and registration initiatives
  • Engage in scholarly activities to ensure modules remain relevant
  • Implement quality assurance measures and maintain attendance records
  • Generate reports for sponsors and academic stakeholders regarding student progress
  • Conduct teaching observations and develop staff training plans
  • Promote the health, safety, and well-being of students and colleagues
  • Perform any additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant Teaching qualification (DELTA, TEFL, MA Linguistics)
  • Experience in teaching within UK higher or further education
