POSITION SUMMARY

Become a vital member of our team at Leeds International Study Centre, where you will help deliver exceptional educational programs in partnership with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University. As an Academic Program Lead, you will be instrumental in crafting innovative teaching methodologies and ensuring a superior learning experience for students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee academic coordination as a Program Lead for assigned module(s)
  • Facilitate regular meetings with instructional and support personnel for effective program oversight
  • Supervise a team of academic tutors
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of modules
  • Assist in the provision of Academic English
  • Prepare assessments, examinations, and provide constructive feedback
  • Support planning initiatives and manage the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
  • Collaborate on student induction and registration activities
  • Engage in scholarly pursuits to keep modules relevant
  • Implement quality assurance measures and maintain student attendance records
  • Generate reports for sponsors and academic stakeholders regarding student progress
  • Conduct teaching observations and develop staff enhancement plans
  • Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of students and colleagues
  • Perform any additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant Teaching qualification (DELTA, TEFL, MA Linguistics)
  • Experience in teaching within UK higher or further education
