About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in providing setting out and engineering control on site, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating a safe working environment and coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities.
  • Provide information to operatives and subcontractors, and complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations, ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated, and carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  • Produce D & D site sketches, assist in maintaining quality records, and ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, and assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Control and minimise waste on site, identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site, and ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely, read & interpret data and drawings, and be confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Flexible attitude to work, problem-solving skills, and relevant CSCS card.
  • HND (Degree desirable), office expertise, and relevant experience.
