About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in providing setting out and engineering control on site, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating a safe working environment and coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities.
  • Provide information to operatives and subcontractors, and complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations, ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated, and carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  • Produce D & D site sketches, assist in maintaining quality records, and ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, and assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Control and minimise waste on site, identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site, and ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.

Competency Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely and read & interpret data and drawings.
  • Confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Flexible attitude to work and problem-solving skills.

Technical/Professional Qualifications:

  • HND (Degree desirable).
  • Relevant CSCS card.
  • Office expertise.
  • Relevant experience.
