Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Derby. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in providing setting out/engineering control on site, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment, coordinating site engineering control and setting out activities, and providing information to operatives and subcontractors.
- Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required, undertake material reconciliations, and ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
- Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings, produce D & D site sketches, and assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
- Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, and assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
- Control and minimise waste on site, identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site, and ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
- Ability to work safely, read & interpret data and drawings, and confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
- Flexible attitude to work, problem solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- HND (Degree desirable), relevant CSCS card, and office expertise.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
