Senior Engineering Leader

Key Responsibilities:
Asset Oversight:
o Develops and manages the Asset Management Strategy and corresponding budgets for both mid and long-term objectives, considering the total cost of ownership throughout the asset lifecycle.
o Tracks obsolescence and associated risks to implement necessary mitigation strategies.
Project Management:
o Oversees the design and execution of capital expenditure projects, serving as either project owner or project manager.
o Engages in designated installation and process enhancement initiatives, adhering to project management protocols.
Leadership and Team Development:
o Provides direction within the production and maintenance & repair sectors (i.e., establishing individual goals, evaluating performance, and delivering continuous feedback) to ensure all team members understand their objectives and performance metrics.
o Leads and mentors a team of professionals, inspiring staff through constructive feedback, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring that both managers and employees are equipped and motivated to achieve set goals.
Maintenance Coordination:
o Strategically plans, prioritizes, schedules, and oversees all maintenance operations (including planned maintenance programs, shutdowns, or urgent repairs) to address breakdowns and minimize operational interruptions.
o Evaluates maintenance requirements, reviews technical documentation, ensures availability of necessary materials, and coordinates execution with relevant departments.Technical Troubleshooting:
o Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and control issues with production and utility equipment, as well as refrigeration systems, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
o Identifies the root cause of disturbances, assesses the need for external mechanical assistance, and determines the urgency and feasibility of repairs, ensuring immediate action is taken when necessary.
Preventive Maintenance Planning:
o Establishes preventive maintenance schedules and conducts inspections to identify technical deficiencies early, enabling timely corrective actions.
o Evaluates maintenance conditions and reports significant findings to production management; performs direct repairs on impending defects when feasible.
o Guarantees the scheduling and execution of corrective maintenance based on inspection outcomes.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
o Investigates, assesses, and recommends innovative equipment, tools, and processes in maintenance and production to enhance operational capabilities.
o Monitors costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resource allocation, prioritize expenditures, and meet timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
o Implements best practices in maintenance (TPM, AM, PM, etc.); contributes significantly to the site master planning process.
Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensures adherence to all operational, safety, quality, risk, and health regulations.
o Monitors work practices and compliance with safety protocols to safeguard employees in the workplace (including key procedures related to ATEX, working at heights, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and work permits, among others).
