Position Overview

The Junior Technical Support Specialist will play a vital role in the Department of Psychology, assisting in the delivery of high-quality education and research. This position involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and supporting various technical operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced colleagues to gain insights into the department's technical services while completing a Level 3 apprenticeship in Software Development. Key Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should demonstrate the following skills and experience:

1. A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or level four (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.

2. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

3. Basic digital literacy, including internet and email proficiency.

4. Fundamental numeracy and literacy skills.

5. Experience working collaboratively within a team.

6. Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.

7. Ability to accurately follow spoken or written instructions.

8. Knowledge of health and safety protocols.

9. Experience in a customer-focused technical service environment.

10. Familiarity with computer programming or software development.
