As the leader of the Consumer Commercial Team for the UK & Ireland, this role is pivotal in crafting the strategic vision and assembling a high-performing team dedicated to enhancing partnerships with retailers to achieve business objectives.
This position serves as a primary representative of McCormick within the UK & Ireland market, with a strong emphasis on external engagement. The individual will be instrumental in amplifying the customer’s voice within the organization, aiding McCormick in refining its strategies to thrive with UK & Ireland retailers.
As a vital member of the UK & Ireland Consumer Leadership Team, collaboration across functions is essential to establish the business direction and fulfill both short-term and long-term goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with sales management to formulate a comprehensive business strategy encompassing sales, gross margin, growth opportunities, and profit targets. Engage in pricing strategy development. Eliminate obstacles for the external sales team to achieve their goals and objectives. Cultivate relationships at the highest levels within the organization and with clients. Direct projects and resources to maximize market penetration in collaboration with McCormick management and client executives. Lead the strategic sales initiatives to secure and sustain business. Responsible for nurturing senior relationships with key accounts. Oversee the development and management of direct reports while mentoring broader talent. Regularly lead MKC teams in both formal and informal settings. Generate innovative ideas and guide project teams in problem-solving.CANDIDATE PROFILE
Extensive experience in FMCG sales with a proven record of establishing trust and building relationships with major UK retailers. Proven ability to develop talent and lead high-performing teams. A self-motivated individual who can inspire others, set a clear direction, and be an effective team player. Experience managing P&L exceeding $100M, with a history of driving profitable growth and increasing market share. Strong communication, strategic thinking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Capable of establishing relationships at the highest organizational levels within the company and with strategic customers. Familiarity with key financial drivers and the ability to develop effective systems for monitoring accounts and territories.McCormick & Company is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative action.
