Purpose of the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Site Technical Manager at our facility in Severn Beach. This pivotal role involves overseeing the technical operations of our Bristol site, serving as a vital link between production, engineering, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and legal standards, implementing a comprehensive system for traceability and due diligence.
  • Lead and manage the site Technical Team, fostering a culture of shared best practices.
  • Oversee the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.
  • Promote and develop industry best practices across the site.
  • Head the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) team.
  • Manage the site's Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS).
  • Maintain the highest standards of accreditation, including BRCGS and other customer and third-party standards.
  • Analyze data trends to drive business objectives effectively.
  • Engage actively in the New Product Development (NPD) process from concept through to launch.
  • Contribute to a proactive approach to site health and safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing a technical team within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with BRCGS and retailer audit processes.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification or higher.
  • Food Safety Level 3 certification or higher.
  • A degree in Food Science or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

This position offers a standard workweek of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary of up to £50,000 and a bonus potential of up to 10%.
