The Bart Ingredients Company, a leader in the herbs and spices sector for over six decades, is seeking a dedicated Site Technical Manager to oversee the technical operations at our Bristol facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations and legal standards, implementing a comprehensive system for traceability and due diligence.
  • Lead and mentor the site Technical Team, fostering a culture of shared best practices.
  • Oversee the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Promote and enhance best practices across the site.
  • Head the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) team.
  • Manage the Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS) for the site.
  • Maintain the highest accreditation levels for BRCGS and other customer and third-party standards.
  • Analyze trends and data to guide business direction effectively.
  • Engage actively in the New Product Development (NPD) process from concept through to launch.
  • Contribute to a proactive health and safety culture within the site.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in managing a technical team within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in BRCGS and retailer audit management.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification or higher.
  • Food Safety Level 3 certification or higher.
  • A degree in Food Science or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary of up to £50,000 and a performance-related bonus of up to 10%.
