Within the Group Sourcing and Supplier Management (GS&SM) division, we are integral to realizing our vision by collaborating closely with our clients and supplier network to deliver substantial value efficiently. This is a pivotal moment of transformation for our Group, and the GS&SM teams are central to this evolution. In this role, you will oversee sourcing initiatives within the Legal Services sector, spearheading projects aimed at enhancing spend management and optimizing both commercial and risk outcomes.

You will play a key role in developing category strategies and executing specific sourcing initiatives to ensure effective service delivery to the Group while managing costs and supporting the legal community in embracing emerging AI and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to category and sub-category strategies that reflect market conditions while optimizing ownership costs to guide sustainable strategic direction.
  • Identifying cost-saving initiatives that align with the Group's objectives, thereby driving down expenses and enhancing value for goods and services.
  • Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to promote awareness of sourcing and garner support for sourcing initiatives.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through the sourcing process, leveraging economies of scale via effective contract negotiations and supplier management.
  • Ensuring contractual terms and conditions are well understood, embedding risk mitigation strategies into supply contracts to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborating with supplier management teams to establish and implement an effective governance structure for suppliers.
  • Monitoring and reporting on financial benefits against targets, while identifying potential risks.
  • Conducting all activities in compliance with Group policies and risk appetite, ensuring a transparent and efficient sourcing process.
  • Staying informed about market dynamics and specialist areas to ensure optimal contracts are in place to meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sourcing within the Legal Services category is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external, particularly with legal firms.
  • Excellent negotiation skills are crucial.
  • Ability to work independently while providing technical guidance on project management.
  • Proficient in identifying, assessing, and managing risks in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba sourcing and contract modules is highly desirable.
  • A background in Financial Services is preferred.
