Job Title: Accommodation Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Accommodation Officer to join our team at HOPE. As an Accommodation Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our housing management services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage housing tenancies, including sign-ups, licensing agreements, and payments.
  • Conduct regular occupancy checks to ensure health and safety standards are met and occupancy numbers are correct.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend appointments with clients as necessary.
  • Recognize signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
  • Regularly review action plans and risk assessments in line with HOPE's policies and practice.
  • Perform various administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex backgrounds, including ex-offenders, people with mental health issues, substance misuse issues, and challenging behaviors.
  • Proficiency in IT, with the ability to learn new software programs and basic Microsoft experience.
  • Understanding of the housing and social needs of individuals with multiple and complex needs.
  • Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others.
