About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Adaptations Service, ensuring the efficient and innovative delivery of adaptations to citizens with long-term health conditions or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Adaptations Service, ensuring compliance with relevant policy and best practice.
  • Manage a team of Project Officers and Project Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of adaptations.
  • Monitor and review outcomes to ensure quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with partners across housing, adult and children's social care, and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Be accountable for substantial revenue and capital budgets.

About You

We are looking for an individual with extensive knowledge of housing construction and repair, renovation, and adaptation techniques, as well as a comprehensive understanding of building and planning regulations and legislation regarding grants and other assistance.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of housing construction and repair, renovation, and adaptation techniques.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building and planning regulations and legislation regarding grants and other assistance.
  • People management skills, and skills in respect of performance management and setting clear objectives to ensure efficient and effective services.
  • Experience of project management, including monitoring budgets, procurement, and tendering for services.
