Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ledger Team Manager to join our team at SF Recruitment (Birmingham). As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the completion of daily work, providing guidance and support to the Ledger Team, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and supervise the Ledger Team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of daily tasks and projects.
  • Workload Management: Plan, allocate, and support the workloads amongst the Ledger Team in accordance with finance deadlines.
  • Training and Development: Ensure that Ledger Team members access and complete appropriate training and development tools to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Financial Operations: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and expenses, including coding, checking, and posting to Access Dimensions or similar systems.
  • Supplier Management: Ensure supplier payments are posted to the purchase ledger and allocated correctly to supplier accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and statements, including supplier statements and reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in purchase ledger and sales ledger team management or purchase ledger management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and processes, including Access Dimensions.
