Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ledger Team Supervisor to join our team at SF Recruitment (Birmingham). As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supervising the purchase ledger and sales ledger on a hybrid basis in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Oversee and supervise the completion of daily work, providing guidance and support to the Ledger Team and their operational needs.
- Team Development: Support and develop the Ledger Team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Workload Management: Plan, allocate, and support the workloads amongst the Ledger Team in accordance with finance deadlines.
- Query Resolution: Support Ledger Team members with any queries or problems, identifying solutions and supporting the resolution of any such matters.
- Induction and Performance Reviews: Support induction, probation reviews, and support, as well as annual or other performance reviews.
- Training and Development: Ensure that Ledger Team members access and complete appropriate training and development tools.
Ledger Transactions:
- Invoice and Expense Management: Ensure purchase invoices and expenses are captured, coded, and checked correctly.
- Payment Processing: Ensure purchase invoices and expenses and payments are correctly entered onto Access Dimensions or similar systems in a timely manner.
- Supplier Payments: Ensure Supplier payments are posted to PL and allocated to the correct Supplier Accounts.
- Payment Initiation: Initiate Supplier payments (by Online Banking).
- Filter and System Tool Usage: Ensure effective usage of Filters/System Tools.
- Supplier Statement Reconciliation: Ensure Supplier statements are fully checked and reconciled to the PL.
- Supplier Details Management: Ensure Supplier details are up to date and correct on the PL.
- Supplier Enquiry Resolution: Deal with Supplier invoice enquiries.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced Ledger Team Supervisor who has a strong background in purchase ledger and sales ledger team management. If you have purchase ledger management experience, this will be satisfactory as training can be given. You will be a strong communicator with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
