POSITION SUMMARY

Wood Projects Team is in search of an HR Advisor for a contract role. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of office and remote work. The ideal candidate will possess prior HR experience or be a recent graduate eager to embark on a career in human resources.

The HR Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for stakeholders by effectively managing inquiries and providing timely resolutions. This role encompasses a wide range of generalist HR services essential for the complete employee life-cycle, including recruitment, selection, motivation, training, and development of qualified personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide expert advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, including performance management, capability, discipline, and grievance handling.
  • Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders regarding employment conditions, compensation, benefits, and employee relations matters.
  • Proactively manage complex employee relations cases.
  • Offer guidance and support during redeployment and redundancy initiatives.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback.
  • Assist in HR projects and participate in the recruitment process, collaborating with line managers and conducting interviews for critical roles.
  • Support career development discussions with line managers and recommend suitable candidates for advancement.
  • Encourage proactive employee development by discussing career paths and training needs with line managers.
  • Investigate and resolve daily employee relations issues, either directly or by advising management.
  • Prepare briefing documents on personnel matters for management and employees.
  • Analyze data sets to identify trends and emerging issues.
  • Oversee the preparation of necessary documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
  • Familiarity with HR practices and relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Experience in handling industrial and employee relations matters.
Knowledge of:
  • Business performance and its impact on customer value.
  • External influencing factors.
  • The evolving regulatory landscape.
