Job Summary:

Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to cover a temporary position in a commercial building environment. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate facilities operations, including post room, courier services, door access systems, and supply ordering.
  • Deal with contractors, report faults, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with the building landlord's security team and manage loading bay operations.
  • Perform lifting tasks, including incoming and outgoing boxes, with assistance from the day cleaner when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, with a background in hard services.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent computer/IT skills and knowledge of CAFM systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Working Hours and Remuneration:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a competitive hourly rate of £16 per hour.
