Symphony Healthcare Services Limited is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Advisor to provide essential support within our healthcare environment. This position entails working 36 hours per week on a permanent basis.

Compensation is competitive, with a pay rate based on experience, alongside NHS or NEST pension benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage appointments and home visits according to established protocols.
  • Register patients and maintain accurate records in the system as they arrive.
  • Address inquiries and requests from patients and external parties, ensuring efficient communication.
  • Handle challenging situations with patients in a calm and professional manner.
  • Prioritize urgent cases effectively and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Process emergency requests following established protocols.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized waiting area, keeping patients informed of any delays.
  • Follow up on hospital appointments and test results, ensuring timely communication with patients.
  • Manage specimen samples and ensure proper handling.
  • Secure the practice premises in accordance with established security protocols.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including scanning, filing, and responding to correspondence.
  • Assist with patient complaints by providing relevant information and notifying management as necessary.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new staff members.
  • Provide general assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
  • Collaborate with pharmacies regarding prescription inquiries.

Contact Hub Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient service support to incoming calls, including triage and appointment booking.
  • Manage general patient inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction through accurate and timely responses.
  • Monitor and manage the contact hub's email communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in computer use with strong keyboard skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and the NHS framework is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications such as GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) are essential.
