Symphony Healthcare Services Limited is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Advisor to provide essential support within our healthcare environment. This position entails a commitment of 36 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Compensation is competitive, with a pay range reflective of experience, alongside NHS or NEST pension benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage appointment scheduling and home visit requests in accordance with established protocols.
- Register patients upon their arrival and ensure accurate data entry into the system.
- Address inquiries and requests from patients and external parties, both in person and via telephone.
- Handle challenging situations with distressed patients professionally and safely.
- Prioritize urgent cases effectively, directing patients to the appropriate clinical services.
- Process emergency call requests from patients and GPs, adhering to established procedures.
- Maintain a tidy and organized waiting area, keeping patients informed of any delays.
- Follow up on hospital appointments and test results, acting on messages from the medical team.
- Manage incoming urgent results and communicate necessary information to patients.
- Ensure the security of practice premises and manage daily administrative tasks efficiently.
- Address patient complaints initially and escalate to the Practice Manager as needed.
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff members as directed.
- Provide general assistance to the practice, fostering a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Contact Hub Responsibilities
- Offer patient service support to incoming calls, including triage questionnaire completion.
- Manage general patient queries and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Hub Clinical team for immediate clinical decisions.
- Ensure patient satisfaction through accurate and timely responses.
- Monitor the contact hub email inbox and assist patients with inquiries based on company policies.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proficient in computer use and keyboard skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology and NHS operations.
- Experience in a customer-focused or administrative role.
Qualifications
Essential
- GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
