Community Rehabilitation Therapist

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Community Rehabilitation Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team, focusing on providing exceptional care to patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
Role Summary
This position involves working 30 hours per week on a temporary basis, contributing to our Community Specialist Rehabilitation Service (CSRS). The CSRS is a collaborative team comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and vocational rehabilitation specialists, all committed to delivering comprehensive assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize your post-graduate experience in neuro-rehabilitation and complex rehabilitation to provide specialized, evidence-based interventions.
- Function as an autonomous practitioner, managing a diverse caseload of patients with intricate rehabilitation requirements.
- Engage in continuous professional development, supported by the Lead Occupational Therapist and the wider interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and learning opportunities available through the service and the broader rehabilitation network.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) and the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Demonstrated experience in working with patients requiring complex rehabilitation.
- Experience in an NHS environment.
Desirable:
- Professional practice educator's qualification.
- Experience in a community setting.

- Ability to apply evidence-based practice effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and a positive approach to change.
