The Disabilities Trust is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Rehabilitation Support Specialists. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in helping individuals with acquired brain injuries regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

About the Role

As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist, you will provide personalized support to our residents, assisting them with daily living skills, emotional well-being, and social integration. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses, to ensure that each individual receives the tailored care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, and leisure activities.
  • Encourage social interaction and community engagement.
  • Implement individual support plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
