**ABOUT THE CAMBRIDGESHIRE FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE (CFRS)**

The Service is dedicated to delivering an outstanding service to the communities we are proud to serve. We are currently looking for a **Community Safety Officer** to join our modern and progressive fire and rescue service.

**THE ROLE**:

The Community Safety Officer role puts you front and centre of our prevention work, helping and supporting the most vulnerable members of Cambridgeshire. Delivery of our Safe and Well Service and supporting partner agencies will be the primary focus of your role.

**ABOUT YOU**:
You will have a clear passion for everything community safety and bring that passion with you into CFRS. The Service is a fantastic, fun and unique organisation to be part of and your drive, experience and knowledge will help us on our journey.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work on their own and be a strong member of team. You will need to work with mínimal supervision, can problem solve, have excellent communication skills and genuinely care about the people you are trying to help.

In addition you will possess:

- Ability to proactively and effectively identify training needs.
- Ability to develop and deliver captivating training packages to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to be innovative/creative in developing community initiatives.
- Good presentation skills with experience of presenting information to groups.
- Experience of research, analysis and report presentation.
- Ability to develop and implement effective evaluation systems.
- Experience of event organisation.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise and articulate way.
- Ability to establish effective professional links with other agencies and multi-cultural groups.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexible approach with the ability to work at any location in the county and outside of normal working hours when required.
