Infrastructure Safety Assurance Officer

**Job Description**
We are seeking an Infrastructure Safety Assurance Officer to join our Busway Health and Safety team at Cambridgeshire County Council.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in health and safety to contribute to the safe operation of our busway infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the delivery of health and safety across the entire Busway infrastructure
- Undertake regular inspections and risk assessments, taking timely corrective action when required
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide support and advice, ensuring a strong safety culture
- Act as a subject matter expert for health and safety, working closely with the team to provide updates and share knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Recognized professional health and safety qualification or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or Health & Safety or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills with experience of building collaborative relationships and influencing decision-making
- Proven track record of carrying out risk assessments, inspections, audits, and writing reports
