**This role is a full-time office-based position**
**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining all personnel records and information in the strictest confidence and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Checking information on staff attendance, notifying and monitoring of Sickness Absence Review and keeping records on staff probationary periods.
- Updating personnel information into the payroll software.
- Collating personnel statistics and reporting on these, for example attendance, staff turnover and annual holidays.
- Dealing with basic enquiries from staff about HR issues, for example staff holidays, flex time.
- Provide administrative support in HR matters for line managers and department managers, including signposting to appropriate policies.
- Updating the Association's HR policies and procedures from information received from the Deputy Chief Executive as and when required.
- Liaising with recruitment companies and agencies to place adverts.
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- Formal HR training & CIPD 3 qualified
- At least one year's previous experience working in a similar HR administrator role or evidence that demonstrates a capability to undertake this type of work.
- Up to date knowledge of current legislation
- Demonstrable evidence of a high level of personal discretion and integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to handle the requirements of different teams positively and efficiently.
- Highly organised with the ability to work without close supervision and within a team.
- Previous experience of using HR software packages for maintaining individual HR records.
- Evidence of an ability to create and modify spreadsheets and producing simple statistical reports.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to function well under pressure and work to deadlines.
- A demonstrable understanding of and a commitment to Equal Opportunities including the needs of different social, cultural and disability groups.
