HR & Payroll Assistant

Our industrial client is looking to recruit an experienced HR & Payroll Assistant for their base in Leeds. Reporting into the HR Manager, the successful individual will be key in supporting our team with a particular focus on the transactional elements of HR,ensuring accuracy and compliance across a range of HR activities. In addition, they will have a good understand and practical experience of processing of payroll.
**Duties will include**:
- Managing the full on-boarding process for new starters. This includes ensuring right to work in the UK documentation is accurate, issuing of the offer letters and contracts and undertaking all on-boarding activities to ensure the on-boarding process ismanaged in an efficient manner.
- Creating and maintaining employee electronic records.
- Managing the off-boarding process for all leavers working within monthly payroll deadline.
- Managing all changes to terms and conditions of employment. This includes issuing of letters and confirming to employees changes to their terms and conditions.
- Ensuring the HR System is updated with relevant employee changes including salary changes, changes to terms and conditions, line manger changes.
- Report writing and extraction of data to inform the business on HR and payroll metrics.
- Manage and respond to day-to-day administration queries.
- Upskilling of line managers and providing pragmatic advice and guidance on all HR issues.

- Strong organisational skills being able to manage a varied workload ensuring deadlines are met
- Knowledge of HR/Payroll systems
- Strong communications skills
- Presentation skills
- Previous experience within a fast paced administration/HR and payroll function
- Can demonstrate ability to listen and understand keep all information private and confidential
- Have a confidential and professional approach
- A good team worker
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly team in this expanding organisation. In return you will receive a salary of between £25,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)
