**The Role**

Lancaster City Council is looking to recruit a Support Assessor with the Support Housing Improvement Programme Team.

The role includes carrying out a desktop review of all supported housing providers across Lancaster:

- Scrutinising support provided including Risk Assessments and Support Plans identifying areas for improvements and best practice.
- Attending weekly MDT meetings
- Developing relationships with support providers to share best practice and co-ordinating events and training.
- Assist in the development of a supported housing provider charter.
- Liaise with residents of supported housing to gather feedback on support provided.

A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder will be required to attend property visits and external meetings. As a result you will be required to sign up to the authorised external DVLA driving licence validation organisation that we use to manage and monitor our employees driving licence data. Reasonable adjustments can be made for those who are unable to drive due to a disability.

This post is temporary for 12 months. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, working Monday - Friday. This post is based at Morecambe Town Hall.

The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.

For internal applicants, this role will be considered for a secondment opportunity. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to. When this role comes to an end, the successful internal applicant will return to their substantive role.
