Working closely with the Phlebotomy Team and Laboratories on a daily basis.

Ensuring all Phlebotomy Forms are correct, on ICE and ready for the phlebotomy team on a daily basis.

To ensure all telephone calls are answered in a prompt and professional manner and enquiries resolved effectively on the Main OPD Reception Desk or the Phlebotomy desk using IPM Lorenzo, OPTIMS, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

To provide ad-hoc Administrative support to the Department.

Ensuring a smooth process for families who attend our department. Liaising with departments/external referrers to ensure we have the correct information to process blood tests.

Ensuring that all patients requiring a phlebotomy appointment are assisted with the online booking system.

Ensuring that DrDoctor is updated, utilised correctly, forward look and appointments are made in a timely manner.

Undertake a variety of general admin duties as deemed appropriate with support from the admin within the department/s. The role will involve liaising with families, GP’s and Consultants on a daily basis.

Working closely with the Phlebotomists/Labs

To assist with the Phlebotomy team on the reception desk.

To assist on the Main Reception in OPD.

Communicate with all members of the Specialised Medicine Team and other Specialty Departments.

Respond both face to face and on the telephone to enquiries or queries in a friendly and courteous manner, recording all messages efficient and cascading to the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner.

Undertake a variety of general admin duties as deemed appropriate and with support from the other admin role within the department

Maintain confidentiality at all times in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
