- As an important part of the HR team, the Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role supporting the ER Consultants to coordinate, manage and give guidance on matters within the UKI region. The role is responsible for managing employee relations activities along with supporting compliance owners with delivering programs and processes.
The ER Specialist will recommend/drive improvements to the colleague experience that build healthy, long-term relationships between the company and colleagues. In addition, working with the various People team stakeholders, they will ensure the right processes are followed, appropriate policies are in place and measures are taken for continuous improvement.
This role is a 6 month fixed term contract initially, it is possible the role could be extended or made permanent in the future.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Review and triage employee relations cases
- Ensure all policies are up to date and fit for purpose by regular review and alignment to legislation
- Supports on employee relations activities in the country
- Own the relationship with the colleague representatives
- Education on legislative changes to senior HR community and leaders
- Management reporting on ER cases, i.e. number of cases, reasons, trends or patterns. Use the results to make recommendations to upskill Managers and improve the colleague experience.
- Support on employee relations activities in the region; Support the ER Consultant in managing the ER workload
- Support the wider team to drive critical projects as necessary to achieve organizational goals and a high performing workplace, including performance management, engagement and total rewards
- Work with the ER Consultant to ensure measures and recommendations following cases are put in place where appropriate
- Ensure the database is updated with relevant workflows and work guides
- Supporting restructures and redundancies alongside the ER Consultant and wider HR team
- Support the ER Consultant in the delivery of Specialist Projects
- Ensure all process flows and ER workflows are kept up to date
- Liaise with Sage Immigration Specialist, as needed, related to immigration matters
Skills must haves/Experience
- 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist capacity
- Solid working knowledge of regional and local employment laws
- Employee relations experience, working with complex issues and ensuring a fair and equitable out-come
- Ability to quickly build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and groups; become a trusted advisor
- Strong orientation to documentation, accuracy, data and facts; critical thinking; problem solving and analytical behaviours
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in large, global, matrix organizations
