**The Opportunity**
With £1.3bn annual spend and 4,000 suppliers, you’ll lead a team of c.35 and be accountable for leading and managing the procurement and P2P function for AIUK, you’ll report to the Supply Chain Director, and will take overall responsibility for supplier performance across the business ensuring that we derive maximum value from purchased goods and services and P2P function.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Formulate and lead the delivery of the AIUK Procurement and P2P strategy, in order to achieve the Company’s aims in respect of sustainable competitiveness (strategic sourcing, risk management and commercial performance)
- Coach and lead the Procurement organisation. Identify and lead the team to seek out cost reduction opportunities without compromising on quality and sustainability.
- Provide strategic supply base management including supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier relationship/performance management.
- Lead the tender/supplier selection/contract award and implementation process ensuring effective value for money is maintained throughout.
- Lead the Procure To Pay process to maximise free cash flow generation while remaining an attractive customer to work with for AIUK supplier base
- Develop initiatives that maximise benefits from emerging technologies, being in the equipment, digital or sustainability space
- Create annual sustainable category execution plans including spend, through cost modelling, market and supplier segmentation analysis.
- Identify and implement systems and processes that support the business and work to continuously align the Procurement function with other departments..
- Represent the business internally and externally and build strategic relationships cross-functionally and with key partners/suppliers. This will include customers, clients and representatives from wider Holcim Croup.
- Develop and identify potential successors for key roles within the business and ensure employees receive development opportunities as appropriate.
**Who are you?**
We are looking for an accomplished procurement leader, ideally with experience in procurement within the construction sector or comparable industries.
You’ll have exemplary stakeholder management at Board/Senior Level coupled with the ability to lead and manage multi-disciplined teams, and experience in managing substantial budgets with the ability to put in place and maintain full financial controls and measures.
As a skilled communicator with strong influencing skills you’ll have the ability to build credibility across the organisation and wider stakeholders.
You’ll possess Procurement expertise across a range of categories (both direct and indirect) including the drafting and negotiating of terms, development of performance metrics and market/sector analysis.
With a working knowledge of process optimisation techniques (Kaizen / Six Sigma) you’ll be highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities, coupled with detail conscious and results oriented mindset alongside your strong personal values to succeed.
